climate-weather

The climate varies according to altitude. Lowland areas have a tropical climate, while mountainous regions are cooler. Pack a sweater or jacket if you’re planning to spend any time in the Andes. The rainy season runs from May to December. During this period, there is the possibility of flooding in certain low-lying areas, such as the Llanos and in some valleys of the Andes. Various parts of Venezuela, including Caracas and the eastern part of Sucre, are vulnerable to earthquakes, although there have been no serious ones for many years. The Andes are a great place to visit.

Cachapas

Here is a picture of a cachapa. Cachapas are a traditional Venezuelan dish made from corn. It was hard to make them because I had to not let them rip. Cachapas are a appetizer for a taste of Venezuela whenever you like. They are very good if you like cheese. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups tender corn kernels (canned corn may be used)
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 3/4-1 cup water (depending on how tender the corn is)
  • 3/4 cup sugar

Directions

  1. 1
Mix all the ingredients in a blender.
  2. 2
The mix should become thick and heavy.
  3. 3
If not, add more corn or a few tablespoons of Jiffy Corn Muffins Mix (not gluten-free).
  4. 4
Shape the mix into small pancakes approximately 1/2 inch thick and about 5 inches in diameter.
  5. 5
Let them cook on medium heat for about one minute on each side, or until small bubbles form on the top.
  6. 6
Pancakes should be served hot, and may be accompanied with cheese (feta cheese is a good option).

Venezuela-Gobierno

President Hugo CHAVEZ Frias was born in Sabaneta, Barinas, Venezuela on 28 July 1954. The second son of two schoolteachers, Hugo de los Reyes Chávez and Elena Frías de Chávez. He is the younger brother of the current governor of Barinas Adán Chávez. The family is of mixed Amerindian, Afro-Venezuelan, and Spanish descent. Chávez was born in a mud hut near Sabaneta. Due to the Chávez family's impoverished conditions, Hugo Chávez was sent to Sabaneta with his older brother Adán to live with his paternal grandmother, Rosa Inés Chávez. There, he pursued hobbies such as painting, singing, and baseball, while also attending elementary school at the Julián Pino School. He was later forced to relocate to the town of Barinas to attend high school at the Daniel Florencio O'Leary School.
